Staff at Energy Assets/ Pulse 24 are taking part in the Tennents Caledonian Challenge 2010

Staff at Energy Assets/ Pulse 24 are taking part in the Tennents Caledonian Challenge 2010 on June 12th 2010 and our goal is to complete 54 miles in 24 hours! That's two full marathons in distance and more up and downs than two ascents of Ben Nevis - all in one go! It's tough but achievable.

Caledonian Challenge - Pulse 24 staff walking to make a difference

In doing so we will be raising valuable funds in sponsorship to help make a difference to the lives of people in some of the UK's most isolated communities.

  • We will be undertaking strenuous physical effort over remote and rugged terrain, including walking through the night and walking hard for up to 24 hours.
  • We will be completing the equivalent of 2 full marathons in terms of distance PLUS two complete ascents of Ben Nevis in terms of height climbed/lost.
  • We are being sponsored to undertake the challenge, not just to complete it. This includes months of training. We will have completed over 300 miles in training in the lead up to the event, invested in new equipment, and sacrificed many weekend and evenings since we started training in January.
  • Only last weekend we completed our last final major training schedule of 48 miles and 8,000ft in assents giving us confidence that we are now ready to complete the challenge!
